So I really have no choice but to keep cleaning this magical brush and hope it lasts us at least another 8 years!.

And it doesn’t hurt that we seem to get a ton of compliments on our cute house no matter what state of semi-disrepair it’s in!.Have you ever dreamed of bringing an old house back to life?.

put your kids to work on your next DIY project, get great results AND even create some wonderful family memories too!Well, alright, the pictures of Baby Jack with a paint brush are a bit of a joke, but once kids are 3 or 4, they really can help you get more work done!.

Usually when we’re in the midst of a major renovation project plan A would be to ship the kids to Grammy’s or work while they’re at school.

While that may be ideal most of the time, I’ve found big projects are filled with opportunities to create lasting family memories. Also these old walls are in pretty rough shape, but they won’t be replaced until “bathroom reno 2.0” happens, so I thought I’d just try to make the whole thing look more presentable by covering up what I could.. Not nice.

We’ve got to make this better. This is what I usually do when I do caulking.

I lay down a thin bead and then use my finger to smoosh it until it’s smooth.. Two things are wrong with this: 1) If you read the tube, you’re not supposed to actually touch the caulking with your bare skin.I got a latex mechanic’s glove that I found in my stash of tools.
