It really speeds the whole process up and allows you to get large amounts of mud off your boots really quickly.. It’s the perfect tool for this job and I’m so glad I figured this out by semi-accident one day.
Then I ripped about a million strips of each fabric to be that width.. OK, not a million, more like 6.But it looked like a million when I was sitting in the middle of all the piles!.
I laid the fabric strips down and decided how I wanted to put them next..I ironed each strip and folded over a seam that was about 3/4 of an inch wide for each.Then I sewed those seams in place.. Next, I became reunited with my old friend the glue gun.
It was a glorious day!.I was going to use velcro strips for this step, but I didn’t have any on hand the day when the inspiration to work on this project struck, so I just went for the glue gun.
I’m so glad I did!
Realistically, I know I’ll probably replace this bedskirt before I actually take it out and throw it in the laundry, so glue was the way to go!.The things I really find myself feeling on a daily basis are things like never being able to have a house that feels really clean in the rooms that haven’t been totally renovated yet, and that’s most of them.
I also really miss having access to walking trails in city parks.We can walk the loop next to the creek around our property, which sounds so much better, but in reality I do really miss my old trails.
I adjust to these things though and as soon as I start on a new DIY project, or see my kids outside playing soccer next to the cornfield, I forget all about those little things.. Perspective.Remember that this isn’t just a house it’s an adventure, and one very few people get the chance to take.
